Relief Society Activity

This Tuesday October 27th is our Relief Society Activity.  We will start at 6:30 and be meeting in the Relief Society room.  This month we will be having two activities, Wooden Spoons and Domestic Divas!  Babysitting will be provided in the nursery by our fabulous Young Women!

Wooden Spoons:  Tanya will be teaching about food dehydration, she always puts a lot of time and effort into these classes and provides lots of information!  Come out and support her and Wooden Spoons and learn how to add to your food storage!

Domestic Divas:  For this class we will be making simple half aprons (pictured below).  If you would like to participate in this but have limited time or resources to get fabric PLEASE contact Lisa Allred (lisallred@gmail.com) and I will be more than happy to talk with you and work out arrangements.

If you are going to provide your own fabric you will need the following:

5/8 yd. fabric for main body of apron
1 yd of coordinating fabric for ties, pocket and waitsband

Also if you are going to make an apron please bring the following if you have it:
Sewing Machine
Scissors
Pins
Seam Ripper
Thread to match your apron

(Okay, seriously, the picture does not do the apron the "cuteness" justice it deserves!)

Please note you will be able to attend both classes if you want to.  Wooden Spoons will start at 6:30 and be taught once.  The apron class will start at the same time but if you attend Wooden Spoons you will have ample time to finish your apron too!

Even if you don't need an apron or don't need to know about dehydration come and visit with the other sisters and enjoy some refreshements!

  1. I can't make it that night, but if you need another sewing machine, you're welcome to use mine. --Tara :)
